Hi, I'm Leanndra!
My journey into therapy began during my undergraduate studies when I took an abnormal psychology class and had the chance to spend time in an inpatient hospital, I was immediately drawn to the work and knew I wanted to help people in a meaningful way.
After earning my bachelor's degree in Psychology, I took a year off to figure out what I wanted to do. I went to get my masters in social work because I see people in the context of their environments: family, community, and society. Challenges often involve larger systems.
I’ve been in the mental health field since 2015. Since then I've worked at inpatient hospitals, outpatient facilities, rehab, a sexual assault center and now I am in private practice. I truly love the work I do and feel privileged to hear the stories people feel safe enough to tell me.
I create a nonjudgmental space where clients can explore challenges, build boundaries, and reconnect with their values. Using trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and narrative approaches, sessions are centered around the client and their unique story to ensure they get the care they want.
In my free time I like to travel, see live music, and attend musicals.
