Repeated relational patterns
Relationships bring out parts of you that you didn’t know were there, or thought you had "gotten over." Maybe you’re constantly overthinking, taking responsibility for everyone’s feelings, avoiding conflict, or wondering why you keep ending up in the same dynamic. Many issues stem from attachment figures and early childhood. We'll identify the difficulty in your relationship and trace it to where these emotions first began. We'll also work on communication and boundaries. My personal favorite thing to work on because once you can set and maintain a boundary-life gets a bit easier.
Life Transitions
-
Parenting stress and challenges
-
New parenthood and identity shifts
-
Major life changes and adjustment periods
-
Infertility
Life changes can be exciting and you can also feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or like you have no idea who you are anymore. Two things can be true at once! Becoming a parent, changing careers, ending a relationship, moving, navigating family changes, or simply realizing that the life you built isn't like it used to can bring up a lot of questions. We'll spend time figuring out what you want, who you are, who you want to be, in order to make you feel settled in your new role or environment. As a fellow human, I bring both clinical and personal experience when helping clients navigate major life transitions.
Anxiety, Stress & Overwhelm
-
Chronic anxiety and worry
-
Work stress and burnout
-
Feeling overwhelmed/"always on"
-
Perfectionism
-
Difficulty relaxing
Being the person everyone can count on to remind others of schedules, pick up the extra slack from a coworker on vacation, and make sure the house is running smoothly is exhausting.
You feel like you can't stop doing it because people rely on you. If you won't do it, no one will.
We'll get to know the part that is telling you that you have to do it all. After we understand where it comes from, we can work on skills so that you aren't over functioning and in turn, won't burn out.
